Rocklin Amtrak Station
The city and the Placer County Transportation Planning Agency funded the design and construction for a new commuter terminal The City of Rocklin ask for several designs of the $1.25 million project. This concept features a flying barrel roof that arches over the main lobby creating a vaulted interior space. High monitor windows are used to capture sunlight and minimize the amount of artificial light used. The depot has a waiting room for rail and bus passengers that includes public restrooms as well as offices for staff.
